The Jewish Innovation
Since he was born just over a year ago, Samurai Jew has won contests, been screened at festivals, and captured the hearts, minds and stomachs of the tens of thousands of people who watched him battle the evil pigs for the freedom of Princess Jelly doughnut.
But one round of Samurai Jew is just not enough, not nearly enough. So we’d like to bring you the next episode of Samurai Jew: The Fourth Cup.
We have an outrageous screenplay,It features living-dead mummies, SJ’s Seven Kung-fu Fighting kids and lovely pregnant wife, Jewly. And of course, whole lot of hilarity. We parody everything and insult whoever’s left. We promise to leave no pyramid standing.
Help us make this passover treat for your enjoyment!
The Impact
Our short Hanukkah film “Samurai Jew: The Eighth Night” was initially conceptualized as a way of transmitting the Jewish definition of heroism.
We believe the character of Samurai Jew displays tremendous potential. The portrayal of traditional Jew engaged in exciting and contemporary activities while actually incorporating his tradition and remaining true to his values, serves the vital purpose of “rebranding” Judaism in the viewer’s mind. The message he conveys is that Judaism does not contradict modernity, it proceeds hand in hand with it; this primes the audience to be more interested in other Jewish themed educational endeavors.
