The Jewish Innovation

Let’s make an epic Passover sequel to the already epic Samurai Jew Hanukkah video!
Since he was born just over a year ago, Samurai Jew has won contests, been screened at festivals, and captured the hearts, minds and stomachs of the tens of thousands of people who watched him battle the evil pigs for the freedom of Princess Jelly doughnut.
But one round of Samurai Jew is just not enough, not nearly enough. So we’d like to bring you the next episode of Samurai Jew: The Fourth Cup.
We have an outrageous screenplay,It features living-dead mummies, SJ’s Seven Kung-fu Fighting kids and lovely pregnant wife, Jewly. And of course, whole lot of hilarity. We parody everything and insult whoever’s left. We promise to leave no pyramid standing.
Help us make this passover treat for your enjoyment!

The Impact

There is a pressing need for high-quality, engaging educational content in the Jewish world. Jewish children today are constantly bombarded by the increasingly sophisticated entertainment industry and its values, which are often the antithesis of the ideals we want our children to be internalizing. On the other hand, a lot of the existing Jewish educational content is dry, overused, and reduced to meaningless clichés.

Our short Hanukkah film “Samurai Jew: The Eighth Night” was initially conceptualized as a way of transmitting the Jewish definition of heroism.
We believe the character of Samurai Jew displays tremendous potential. The portrayal of traditional Jew engaged in exciting and contemporary activities while actually incorporating his tradition and remaining true to his values, serves the vital purpose of “rebranding” Judaism in the viewer’s mind. The message he conveys is that Judaism does not contradict modernity, it proceeds hand in hand with it; this primes the audience to be more interested in other Jewish themed educational endeavors.

What Will You Do with the Money?

Animation is a very complicated and expensive process.
It takes a long time, and go through many stages.
from script writing to storyboarding, design, animation, voice recording to music writing and sound design.
But it’s the process we chose, because it allows us to create our story in the best way possible.
and to do that we need to hire a highly skilled team of artists.
So all your contributions to this campaign will be used assamble this team
Here’s an approximate breakdown:
$1750 x 2 animators.
$750 composer.
$750 sound design and recording voices.
