The Jewish Innovation

During Chanuka 2014, Aish HaTorah will be hosting a Chanuka Chesed event in the Old City of Jerusalem. We will be inviting all Western Wall visitors to come and join us in the making and designing of menorahs, dreidels, jewelry, gifts, food packages and Chanuka cards, which will be given to Israeli terrorist victims and sick children as Chanuka presents. In addition to being a beautiful act of kindness for the children, the participation of Jews of all types in this act of kindness promises to be a great display of Jewish unity. We expect that all participants will be uplifted through this experience as they appreciate the spiritual beauty of kindness which is one of the great foundations of Judaism.
During the remaining days of Chanuka the Aish HaTorah students will be visiting orphanages, hospitals and terrorist victim centers to deliver the gifts and packages to the kids and lighten up their Chanuka with song and dance. This is a truly unique program on so many levels.

The Impact

1) There are thousands of visitors coming to visit the Western Wall during Chanuka. Through this progrma they will engage in performing acts of kindness for needy kids in Israel during their visit to the Western Wall.

2) This will brighten up the Chanuka of needy Jewish kids in orphanages and hospitals in Israel

3) This will be an incredible display of Jewish Unity. All different types of Jews will come together and perform acts of kindness together.

What Will You Do with the Money?

The money raised will be used to:
Buy materials to make the gifts for the needy kids, buy toys and candy for the kids, deliver the gifts to the kids and provide music and entertainment to bring some Chanuka joy to the needy kids in Israel!
