Hi! We are Tribelsky family, and our journey to create a sensory-friendly playground is deeply personal. It all began when our youngest son, at the tender age of 3, was diagnosed with autism. This life-changing experience opened our eyes to the challenges faced by children like him when trying to enjoy something as simple as playing on a playground.
Imagine how difficult it is to find a place where your child can play freely, without having to constantly apologize for their unique autistic behavior. A place where they won’t be pointed at or excluded by other children simply because they perceive the world differently.
Our son’s struggles became our inspiration. We realized that there was a significant gap in our community—a lack of safe, sensory-friendly play spaces where children of all abilities could feel included and cherished.
We felt compelled to take action. This is why we’ve embarked on this journey to create a sensory-friendly playground—a haven where children like our son can play without judgment, sensory overload, or exclusion.
This playground is more than just a project; it’s a heartfelt mission to foster inclusivity, compassion, and understanding in our community.
Our family is delighted to introduce our innovative business idea for a sensory-friendly playground. Rooted in our expertise and fueled by a deep personal commitment, this project aims to create an inclusive haven for children of all abilities. With a solid educational background, extensive experience, and a profound understanding of the impact of autism, we are confident that this venture will deliver both social value and financial returns.
We are passionate about creating a sensory-friendly playground where children of all abilities can play and thrive.
We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to play and socialize in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment, and we need your help to make this vision a reality.
Our first sensory-friendly playground will open in the northern region of Israel, and we have ambitious plans to expand our initiative to every corner of the country.
We will open the first playground in northern Israel, in the city of Nagharia. This is a beautiful city located near Haifa. With your support through crowdfunding, we aim to create a network of sensory-friendly playgrounds that will benefit children and families across Israel.
As you may know, traditional playgrounds can be overwhelming for children with sensory processing disorders, such as autism or ADHD. Bright lights, loud noises, and crowded spaces can make it difficult for these children to enjoy playing and socializing with their peers. Unfortunately, there are few options available for families who are looking for a sensory-friendly play environment in our community.
As a parents, there’s nothing more heart-breaking than watching your child struggle in a situation that should be enjoyable – like playing on a playground. But for children with sensory disorders, the overstimulation and chaos of a traditional playground can make playtime an overwhelming and anxiety-inducing experience.
We know firsthand the challenges of finding a safe and inclusive play area for our children with sensory disorders. Traditional playgrounds often lack the necessary sensory input and can trigger meltdowns, leaving our children feeling left out and isolated.
That’s why we’re thrilled to support this crowdfunding campaign for a sensory-friendly playground! This playground is specifically designed to engage all the senses and create a safe and inclusive environment for children with sensory disorders to play and have fun.
Imagine your child finally having a place where they can swing without fear of being overwhelmed by the movement, or explore a tactile wall without fear of being overstimulated by the noise and chaos of a traditional playground.
This sensory-friendly playground is designed to provide the perfect amount of sensory input to help your child regulate their nervous system, while still allowing them to experience the joy of playtime.
That’s why we’re creating a sensory-friendly playground that will provide a safe and welcoming space for children of all abilities.
The playground will be designed to cater to children aged 2 to 12 with sensory processing disorders, including autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and others. It will also be open to neurotypical children who may experience sensory challenges in settings such as daycare, school, or at home.
Our playground will feature:
- Sensory play equipment: The playground will feature a range of sensory play equipment, such as swings, slides, climbing structures, and balance beams, that are designed to provide sensory input and promote motor skills development.
- Calm spaces: The playground will have designated calm spaces with low lighting, soft seating, and sensory calming tools, such as fidget toys and weighted blankets, where children can retreat to when they need a break from sensory stimulation.
- Sensory-friendly activities: The playground will offer sensory-friendly activities, such as sand play, water play, and interactive games, that are designed to engage children’s senses in a safe and enjoyable way.
- Sensory-friendly services: The playground will provide sensory-friendly services, such as sensory-friendly birthday parties, sensory integration therapy sessions, and sensory-friendly workshops, that are tailored to the unique needs of children with sensory sensitivities.
- Accessibility features: The playground will be fully accessible, with features such as wheelchair ramps, wide pathways, and sensory-friendly signage, to ensure that children of all abilities can enjoy the facilities.
- Regarding pricing: playground will be fee-based, with a minimum entry fee that will go toward supporting the maintenance of equipment and our dedicated team that ensures a safe and enriching environment for every child.
In today’s world, it’s crucial for every child to learn how to effectively manage their bodies, emotions, and feelings. The sensory-friendly playground we’re creating aims to provide a supportive environment where children of all abilities can develop these essential life skills. Through engaging and inclusive play experiences, we hope to empower each child to better understand and regulate their sensory experiences, fostering not only physical growth but also emotional and social development.
