Community Resource Center is based in Encinitas. Its food & nutrition program:
- Distributes more than 670k pounds of food through our Food Distribution Center (FDC).
- Saves the average family of four an average of $91.04 a week utilizing the FDC to supplement their food resources.
- Hosts more than 11,700 client visits to our Food Distribution Center – all served by caring volunteers under CRC staff supervision.
- Distributes 120k pounds of food through our Holiday Baskets Program.
CRC facilitates the USDA Commodities Program, CalFresh (Food Stamp) and Medi-Cal application assistance, weekly food assistance, walk-up food distribution, meal preparation and nutrition classes, and holiday baskets of food and household essentials.
