NATAN is an Israeli NGO based entirely on volunteering, which operates all over the world immediately after natural disasters or man-made disasters. Our professional volunteers go wherever and whenever needed to provide medical, psychosocial and educational assistance.
In the past year, we have provided aid in Ukraine, Nepal, Turkey and Morocco.
In addition, we have been operating a dental clinic in Haifa since 2020, which provides free treatments for under-served populations, including youth and women in rehabilitation centers.
This important activity enabled us to immediately establish two dental clinics for evacuees from the Gaza border: one at the Dead Sea and the other in Eilat.
The clinics meet a real and significant need: Every day, 40 patients are treated. They can address almost any dental problem, from toothaches to complex root canal treatments.
Your donation will allow dental care for 250 patients per week, about 1000 patients per month!!
Already in the first week of working with evacuees, doctors identified a distinct tendency to grind teeth and sometimes break teeth, crowns and dentures during sleep. These symptoms in such a high frequency characterize high emotional stress. In these cases, we try to make it as easy as possible by providing patients with customized mouth guards for nighttime use.
Today, NATAN is the only organization answering the needs of this population in the field of dentistry 6 days a week.
Even though all the medical teams (and the NATAN organization in general) are volunteers, the cost of operating the clinics is about 50,000 NIS per month! (The cost of materials, equipment and the air fares of volunteer doctors to Eilat)
Your contribution will help run the clinics for another two months.
