Master of Return is a semi-fictionalized account of my experiences living in Gush Etzion. It tells the story of the holy Jews I encountered who chose to live in the place that God promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Many believe that Jews choose to live in Judea and Samaria as a political statement or as a way to steal land. The truth that I want to reveal is that living in Israel is a spiritual act of the highest order sometimes requiring the most painful sacrifice. I tried to describe some of the holy Jews I encountered in my 15 years living in Bat Ayin in Gush Etzion. I also tried to describe some of the precious lights that were lost to the world through horrible acts of violence. When I approached publishers, I was told that they absolutely would not publish a book that described Arab violence against Jews. They were, however, desperately in search of books that described Arab suffering under the “Israeli occupation.” As a result, I need to turn to you to help bring this truth into the world. The book is written. I need your help to edit the manuscript and to produce the book.

I began writing feature articles for Breaking Israel News almost five years ago and have written over 2,600 articles. After working as a chef in Manhattan for ten years, I moved to Israel in 1991. I worked in the dairy shed on Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu for five years raising the baby cows. I also served a short term in the IDF as a combat medic. I moved to Bat Ayin, a small community in Gush Etzion midway between Jerusalem and Hebron, and studied in the Yeshiva (Torah seminary) for nine years. Almost seven years ago, I moved my family to the Golan and began my writing career. I have written over 2,600 articles for Breaking Israel News. My feature articles report the news from a Biblical perspective and focus on the prophecies unfolding in front of my eyes.
