The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) delivers life-saving legal assistance to the world’s most vulnerable refugees. IRAP organizes law students and lawyers to develop and enforce a set of legal and human rights for refugees and displaced persons: mobilizing direct legal aid and systemic policy advocacy, IRAP simultaneously serves the world’s most persecuted individuals and empowers the next generation of human rights leaders.
IRAP utilizes every tool — through the courts, civic action and protest, contacts with allies on both sides of the aisle, the media, and a self-organized volunteer network — to deliver legal solutions for refugees. In addition to legal and policy work spearheaded from IRAP’s headquarters in New York, IRAP provides refugees with critical, on-the-ground assistance through field offices in Lebanon and Jordan.
