ההצגה “כסית בתלאביב” היא קברט-תאטרון ארץ-ישראלי מיוחד במינו. בבית קפה אחד ברחוב דיזנגוף בתל אביב התפתחו שלושה דורות של משוררים ויוצרים עבריים. “במהעברית” מחייה את בית הקפה על אופיו הייחודי והנפשות המרתקות אשר פקדו אותו.
אין צורך בכרטיס טיסה, או חופשה מאורגנת לארץ. גם עומס החום, בעיות החנייה והג’ט-לג נחסכים. תל אביב חיה ונושמת בתאטרון מקומי ב-Bay Area.

Project Kassit is bringing to life the timeless story of Israel’s foremost poetry and literary artists who congregated at this famous Tel Aviv coffee shop on Dizengoff. Sharing their art, lives, and stories, the characters in this fictional world premiere, are loosely based on real-life historical figures that shaped Israel’s cultural scene for generations.
Now, a group of talented Israeli performers from the Bay Area are working to bring this experience to life in an original live stage performance. This one of a kind performance will bring these larger than life historical figures to the stage for the audience to experience firsthand. We need your help to make this dream a reality. By supporting Project Kassit, you will take part in continuing to extend the artistic and cultural legacy that Israel’s foremost artists established on the streets of Tel Aviv during its early years.

The Impact
“Kassit Tel Aviv” is a cabaret style theater, based on the stories that sprung from Café Kassit, Israel’s hub for poets, writers and artists in the 1950s-70s, who set the cultural foundations of the newly established state.
Our audience will be magically transported through time and space to the most prolific periods in Israeli artistic and cultural history. The performance will bring to life Nathan Alterman, Lea Goldberg and others, through songs, poems and dramatic dialogues.
We invite the Bay Area community to support this ambitious endeavor by contributing funds that will cover the production expenses including, theater rental, set and costumes, publicity, graphic design and more.
