With your help, you can make Ronel’s one wish come true: to be healthy again.
At 14, Ronel, an Israeli teenager from Kfar Saba, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer. The doctors discovered a malignant, fast-growing tumor in Ronel’s brain. It was unresponsive to chemotherapy and radiation, almost killing her. They then discovered that she was a good candidate for immunotherapy. The therapy worked and the huge tumor almost disappeared. Ronel went back to school, ecstatic to be with her friends and teachers again. However, just a few months later, a new tumor appeared. As her condition worsened her doctors recommended that she get a new treatment at Duke University in North Carolina.
Her admission into Duke University will make her the first non-American patient to get this special treatment. The treatment involves an injection of the polio virus to kill the cancerous tumor in her brain. It costs $130,000. Rachashei Lev and Ronel’s family have already raised about half of the cost in Israel. (Insert link). However, they need your help to raise $65,000 more.
On top of all this suffering, Ronel’s father was also diagnosed with cancer last year. The battle this family is up against breaks our hearts. But we at Rachashei Lev are not giving up hope! And you can help us ignite the hope and take action that will save Ronel’s life.
The Impact
When asked what Ronel dreams of, she says, “Just to be healthy”. That’s all she wants. She loves to draw and read and spend time with her friends. Just like many other teenagers you know. But she will never be able to do any of it if she does not regain her health. YOU have the opportunity to be a part of this fight for Ronel’s life.

Where the Money Goes
ALL FUNDS ARE BEING USED DIRECTLY TO COVER THE COST OF RONEL’S TREATMENT. (Invoices are available on request.) All funds are handled by Friends of Rachshei Lev, and are tax deductible the United States under code IRS 501c3 and Israel Saif 46.
It is never easy to ask for help, especially when it comes to monetary assistance. But in this fight for her life, a teenager and her family turn to you for your help. We should not allow the cost of this treatment to deter Ronel from the chance at a longer life. Please consider contributing anything you can and be a shining star in this young woman’s fight for survival.
