The Jewish Innovation
Lori, my wife and the mother of our children, passed away earlier this year, after a courageous battle with cancer, just a few months before our youngest son’s Bar Mitzvah in July 2015. We would like to honour Lori’s memory by helping to restore the Aminadav nature reserve (situated ago in the western hills of Jerusalem). This reserve, which we often visited as a family, was badly damaged during a forest fire two years ago.
I can’t think of a more perfect way to bring back the memory of that connection.

The Impact
As Jews, memory and the commemoration of memory is what sustains us as a people. Lori made Aliyah from Canada and over time, came to connect with the land of Israel.
The JNF as a Jewish organization has been working on creating and rehabilitating forests in Israel and has for generations been a symbol and vehicle for the connection between world Jewry and Israel.

What Will You Do with the Money?
There is a plot of JNF land in the western hills of Jerusalem, in the area of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, which was burned two years ago.
Ben, our youngest son will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah in July 2015 and we want to replant and re-invigorate the forest, in the western hills of Jerusalem, in the memory of his mother. All of the money will be used to fund this project in her memory.
