“The Torah that Moshe commanded us is the heritage of the congregation of Yaakov.” [Deut. 33:4]
For over 450 years, the Shulchan Aruch (“Set Table”) has been the fundamental code of Jewish Law. Written by Rabbi Yosef Karo, the code touches every single area of Jewish life and law.
For centuries, these complex volumes have been open mainly to scholars and rabbinical students. Now, for the first time in history, the Shulchan Aruch will be available to all in clear, precise English (with other languages to follow).
This monumental project will be led by Rabbi Mordechai Leib Rothenberg, and is part of the Yeshivah Pirchei Shoshanim Shulchan Aruch Learning Project. Pirchei Shoshanim and the Shema Yisrael Torah Network are world renowned institutions and provide educational information to anyone interested in learning Halacha and learning more about Judaism, in general. It was designed from the ground up to support you in your PERSONAL journey into the depths of Judaism – it doesn’t matter if you’ve been studying Torah since you were born or if you are making your first steps. We are committed to helping you receive the right teachings for you.
This is Phase One of our project to translate the entire Shulchan Aruch. The first volume is currently being translated and edited, with a publication goal of this Fall. Other volumes will follow. All monies raised will go towards the translation, editing, and publication of this monumental work. This is an enormous undertaking and cannot be accomplished without you!
You can donate in honor or memory of a loved one and cement their name in Jewish history:
$54 (3 x Chai) – sponsor one Seif, or paragraph, of the Shulchan Aruch
$180 (10 x Chai) – Sponsor one Siman, or section, of the Shulchan Aruch.
Other sponsorships are available. Every amount is appreciated.
We are a recognized non-profit, and all donations are tax deductible.
