Help us bring renewable energy to a hospital for orphans in South Sudan.
We are Energiya Global, an Israeli solar and social development enterprise with the goal of providing clean electricity for 50 million people in underserved areas of the world. As part of our operation in South Sudan, we are leading a fundraising campaign to provide a solar-powered generator for His House of Hope, a hospital for women and children in Yei, South Sudan
About the Hospital
Sudan has a long and tragic history of civil war and instability. The most recent war that resulted in the establishment of South Sudan as a separate entity is only the latest chapter in decades of civil war, that resulted in many orphans and homeless children. The Harvesters Reaching the Nations ministry created His House of Hope Hospital in Yei, South Sudan, that provides and promotes the treatment of curable diseases among the most vulnerable populations, orphans, women and children. The HHH hospital also provides prenatal and postpartum care for women in order to reduce the rate of infant and maternal mortality, and provides a safe birthing environment.
Many basic resources are dependent on a reliable and affordable source of electricity. By providing a solar installation to His House of Hope Hospital we are increasing the facility’s ability to care for the ill, assist birthing mothers and prevent the spread of disease in the region while reducing the cost of electricity and augmenting its availability.

About Energiya Global
Mission
Energiya Global develops clean, renewable and affordable energy projects worldwide, with the goal of providing clean electricity for 50 million people by 2020.
Vision
Our vision is for a world in which developing nations will be powered predominantly by clean, safe, renewable energy.
Clean energy will not be a luxury that only wealthy nations can afford, but will be the energy of choice for lifting people in developing countries out of poverty. Energiya Global mobilizes the ingenuity and the values of Israel and the Jewish People to reduce the world’s dependence on fossil fuels and deliver new sources of energy as a basic human right.
Our Roots
In August 2006, American immigrant Yosef Abramowitz got off the air-conditioned van that took him and his family to their new home, Kibbutz Ketura. Despite the extreme heat and abundant sunlight, Abramowitz discovered that there was almost no domestic solar power in Israel. Together with partners Ed Hofland and David Rosenblatt, the three founded Arava Power Company (APC) as Israel’s leading domestic solar developer with over 100 megawatts on the ground.
Energiya Global
The need is immense. 1.6 billion people in the world do not have access to electricity and much of what is available comes from burning expensive, polluting diesel oil.
Energiya Global was established by the founders of Arava Power to meet this need by exporting the successful, pioneering model for affordable and sustainable solar energy projects, developed in Israel, to the rest of the world.
About our Global Projects
With over 1000 MW of solar projects in our pipeline worldwide, Energiya Global brings extensive experience in all aspects of renewable energy project finance and development. We have established ourselves in East and West Africa and the Southeastern United States, and are in the process of evaluating additional emerging markets for expansion. As a founding partner of White House InitiativePower Africa, Energiya Global operates with the support of the US Government in challenging regions that suffer from energy poverty and extreme lack of resources. We are proud to have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in March 2015.
We Did it in Rwanda
The solar field at the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda embodies EG’s quadruple bottom line approach: it helps the long-term sustainability of the Village, it is good for the environment, it generates local employment and education and it empowers the country with access to electricity – which in itself results in a myriad of benefits for the Rwandan population. Located on rolling green hills, east of Kigali, our $23.7 million project is the first utility-scale, grid-connected, commercial solar field in East Africa. The field is 8.5 MW, and it increased Rwanda’s generation capacity by 6%.
Our South Sudan Project
Energiya Global has a solar project in early stages of development in South Sudan. We are currently planning the construction, financing and interconnection of a utility-scale solar field that will be connected to the national grid.
As part of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy, we are dedicated to improving the lives of the residents of the countries in which we are working. As such, we ask you to join us as we lead this campaign to donate a solar-generator to Harvesters Reaching the Nations’ His House of Hope Hospital.

What the Money is for
Solar Panels for a Hospital in South Sudan
It is our goal to enable access to electricity for all populations as a basic human right. Even as we are establishing large solar projects as quickly as possible throughout Africa, many places, such South Sudan, do not have infrastructure sufficient to connect most residents to a central grid. Therefore it is necessary for many people to use dirty and expensive diesel generators. We need your help to supply the His House of Hope Hospital with a cost-effective, clean and energy-efficient solar powered generator. Please join us.
Timeline
We hope to begin the installation of the solar panels at His House of Hope Hospitalthree (3) months after campaign ends successfully. After three (3) additional months, we hope to have the installation process completed. Altogether, six (6) months after campaign ends successfully, we hope to complete the execution of this project.
What Happens if we Exceed our Goal?
The hospital is located on a campus which incorporates both a primary school and orphanage. Should we exceed our goal we will increase the scope of the planned installation to add solar capacity to the school as well.
