The Jewish Innovation
Our program at Maryland comprises of four core parts: Education semester, speaker series, consulting and fund management projects, and fellowship.
Education Semester: The education semester is designed to introduce students to basic principles of business and in particular how they relate to the Israeli economy. Upon completion of the first semester, students possess the necessary foundation to begin the business application phase of the program.
Consulting and Fund Management Projects: Students interested in pursuing consulting join teams that provide strategic observations and recommendations to Israeli businesses. They communicate directly with Israeli CEOs and develop professional and personal relationships. Investment minded students manage a fund that directly invests in Israeli companies and other companies working with Israel.
Speaker Series: Every semester, TAMID at Maryland brings local business leaders, leading experts, and accomplished entrepreneurs to speak on their areas of expertise. Students learn about real-life business and economic issues that cannot be absorbed from a college lecture and are given an opportunity to network with influential business professionals.
Fellowship: Each summer, TAMID at Maryland seeks to set up as many students as possible with an internship experience in Israel that is uniquely tailored to their skills and abilities. This all expenses paid trip, including travel and housing, offers students an internship with a top Israeli company, programming with Israel’s most noted business leaders, and trips to Israel’s most significant cities and landmarks.
The Impact
We wish to send five students to Israel this summer to contribute to the start-ups in a full-time manner, with the hope that these students will return to the Maryland campus eager to contribute in increasing economic cooperation between the US and Israel.
What Will You Do with the Money?
1. The TAMID Fellowship Program – Our most significant expenses include travel and housing. The more money we raise, the more students we can send on this incredible program!
2. Operations – Each year, TAMID at Maryland brings in speakers, host social events, and purchase educational materials. All of these expenses contribute to the special culture, network, and community that we work hard to create.
Your generous donations make this initiative possible!
